If you are able to aid in advocating for supports for nonprofits, please communicate with your government representatives. 

Alberta has the most nonprofuit organizations per capita in the world and many more unregistered, volunteer run organizations supported by registered umbrella organizations like AWSN. These organizations need substantial, secure and flexible funding to continue to serve their communities in unique ways that only nonprofits serve.

Contact your MP, MLA, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, Canada Opposition Leader Andrew Scheer, Premier of Alberta Jason Kenney and Alberta Opposition Leader Rachel Notley.  AWSN has submitted a letter in support of Alberta nonprofits and our member organizations, specifically supporting assessing the ongoing needs through an intersectional lens.  Many other organizations have also submitted their thoughts and shared their letters online: The Muttart Foundation, Imagine Canada, Alberta Nonprofit Network and YWCA Canada with another request for a feminist approach to COVID-19.
