Feedback on AWSN's Strategic Direction

As AWSN moves forward and examines our strategic direction, we are engaging the wider Alberta STEM community in gathering opinions to aid in our process. AWSN's Executive & Board believe the organization can choose between two options as we move forward.

Option A: Continue evolving the organization to be a network supporting programs for all under-represented populations in STEM across Alberta.  This option would see AWSN engage in a rebranding exercise, which would drop the reference to women in our name, among other initiatives necessary to align with our current Mission and Vision statements.

Option B: Refocus the organization to be a network supporting programs for Women in STEM across Alberta. This option would see AWSN retain our current name and engage in an exercise to realign the Mission and Vision, among other the initiatives necessary, to ensure alignment between our goals and messaging.

In addition to examining the strategic direction, we are aware that some organizations in our network, and the wider world, have evolved their focus towards promoting diverse involvement in STEAM versus STEM. We are asking for your opinion and comments on the strongest choice for us to move forward with.

We value your feedback and time.

If you have questions or would like to provide additional comments on this survey, please email info@awsn.org.  We welcome additional feedback!
