The team Intimitrons from Area 51 was founded in hopes to inspire and encourage the participation of young women in engineering, science, and technical vocations. In a male dominated field, we see this as an important endeavor. We do this by making robots that compete in FIRST Robotics Competitions.  A lot of fun.Our team sees it important to uphold the values of FIRST and to continue to help others along our path as competitors.

FIRST

FIRST stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST Robotics was founded to help encourage people to participate in science and technology at a young age.

FIRST competitions are modeled off varsity sports to better engage young people and work to:

  • Inspire cooperative efforts between teams and competitors.
  • Encourage other teams by providing assistance when needed.

VISION

The team Intimitrons from Area 51 was founded in hopes to inspire and encourage the participation of young women in engineering, science, and technical vocations.

Our team believes that it is important to uphold the values of FIRST and to continue to help others along our path as competitors and colleagues. We would also like to reach out to the community and encourage participation in the fascinating and rewarding experience of FLL robotics and these professions.
