Jean Springer

Dr. Jean Springer, Past (past) president of AWSN is just a very very special woman.  Jean has touched the lives of thousands of students in Calgary. She has taught at the University of Calgary, SAIT, and at Mount Royal College where she has been Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering and also Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology. STEM is not just in her mind or heart, its whole her life. She stuck with AWSN with her personal goal to bring it forward to an active growing organization with lots of young women moving things along. She still mentors us from her dinning room table. This year - YWCA is doing a Canada 150 piece that highlights 150 women over the past 150 years that have had an impact on Calgary and Jean was selected.
