Minji Kim, Member at Large

Minji Kim completed her Master’s in Environmental Science from University of Toronto in 2014 and moved to Edmonton shortly after. While navigating the new city and career options, she attended career development and networking opportunities provided by organizations such as WISER (Women in Science, Engineering and Research), WISEST, and AWSN. She joined WISER to give back to the community as an Event Planner, Sponsorship Lead, and Communications Lead. Minji currently volunteers as a Mentor in Residence to ensure continuity within the organization.

Professionally, Minji is a Senior Research Associate in Analytical Operations at Gilead, a biotechnology company that focuses on discovering, developing, and commercializing innovative medicine. Within Gilead, she engages employees to shift culture around environmental sustainability as an Education and Outreach Lead at Green Initiatives Team.
