Why there are still far too few women in STEM?

Women are enrolling in science and engineering in record numbers, but rarely win awards and often leave the field. What’s happening?

The McLean's article about the retention of women in STEM is enlightening, but not totally surprising either.  There are some amazing quotable quotes in this article that we think explain the issues in graphic ways.   “Death by a thousand cuts” is one that others have told me describes it perfectly to them too.  

"...the existence of a career pipeline that steadily leaks qualified female candidates..."
